And then there's the rest of what Elizabeth Warren wrote on that page - why did the tweet cut that off? Because she was endorsing a PUBLIC SCHOOL voucher program - not one where private schools also get vouchers. And that's not what the fascoChristian-oligrach complex that now backs the GOP wants. They want taxpayer-funded voucher money to go into their own pockets. Here's the rest of what she wrote:

I have no problem with it. We need to allow ALL kids - not just kids of wealthy parents - have a choice as to where to get an education. |
I don’t want my tax dollars going to schools that can deny whomever they please. |
Youngkin has no influence on the large school districts like Fairfax, Loundou, so we are safe. There is really no books left to ban from these districts as we removed math, geography, history and literature books from kids many years ago. There is no way Republicans or Youngkin administration can implement these books back in schools. |
What on earth are you babbling about? |
I’m confused about conservatives calling for charter schools and “school choice.” They tend not to live anywhere dense enough to support school choice. Most charter schools are in cities. |
Ever heard of suburbs? ![]() ![]() |
No charter schools in the suburbs |
Well, not yet. Hopefully one day. |
How do charter schools allow all kids to have a choice? These schools reject kids they don't want. Public schools can not reject students form the district. Our public has a large chunk of the budget for special needs students. Charters just won't accept these students. |
Where are they allowed to reject students? They aren't allowed to reject students at DC charters. |
No textbooks in schools. |
