I lived in Atlanta and while there is an educated part of the population there, you are stuck in a very small area. Once you leave that city, it gets scary fast.

By all means - take your toys and run off in a tantrum but you are going to be sorry.

Don't you know why it's expensive? A lot of people want to live here. A lot of educated people live here. If that's not your jam, then you should go.

Birmingham suburbs are nice.

And if you think DMV housing prices are justified, I’d stop bragging about your education. It’s way more complicated and seedy than “jobs are here”.

I've never seen a tub like this before. It's, ummm... a statement piece?

It is a soaking tub. I've never seen one used with a shower.

I've seen soaking tubs, but not made of wood like that. Also, it's on some sort of pedestal. I imagine it would be difficult to get in and out of...

On another note, they could probably film an Oceanspray commercial in that bathroom with someone trying to DIY some cranberry juice.

It’s pretty easy to add a shower head above a claw-footed tub. That’s what we have.

Yes, I've seen a shower over a claw-footed tub many times. But you can still step over the side of one of those. This beast needs a step ladder, and the curtain is so awkward with one of these.
