| This is ridiculous, there are very nice houses listed for 1.25M that will go for less than 1.35M, you absolutely can afford that. |
| You can't afford this? https://www.redfin.com/MD/Mt-Rainier/4520-32nd-St-20712/home/10961306 |
1/2 acre? Lots are measured in square feet in my close-in neighborhood. |
| Nothing about OP's post makes sense unless they are massively irresponsible with their money, or have big legitimate expenses like care for special needs children or huge ongoing medical bills. |
I literally laughed out loud at this. |
But OP wants 1/2 acre |
| You can absolutely get that in the Einstein cluster walkable to Wheaton metro. You have to be patient and also not fixated on GreatSchools scores. |
Yeah the half acre is the punchline here |
Oh wait you said a half acre, not a quarter. Nevermind, you're insane. |
|
Op here. We want half acre. We are on postage stamp now and hate it. We want newer build so we don't have to replace appliances, roof, windows, electric.
And for those accusing troll. We want to spend max $720. For our salary, etc. it is upsetting we can't get what we want. |
You don't need a house. You need a time machine. |
Stay mad then. Or enjoy Alabama! |
Honestly older construction is generally built better. Buy something older that has been renovated if kept up well, not something newish where everything is going to need replacing at once. Also if you buy quality construction or remodel you don’t have to replace the windows. We live in a historic neighborhood where you can’t replace most windows and they are just fine because they are high end vs newish garbage with a short lifespan. The 1/2 acre is just ridiculous if you want a short commute, though. You sound like a weird combo and of naive and entitled |
So you want to spend what someone with half your salary would be able to spend. Okay well that is your problem and no one else's. You can't blame that on the dmv. |
OP wants a half acre, I’m thinking she’s not looking anywhere near DC. |
