I have no doubt that parents on this board will make this excuse. But the club not the parents decides to play teams up. I don't get why would a club choose to do this? Wouldn't it be better for the club to have teams winning and doing well in their own age group rather than a poorer performance playing up? What's the motivation? |

Fcc won all their age groups playing up in obgc.
You all will pick apart and analyze every little thing on these boards. It’s pretty pathetic. |
That is a smaller tournament, so playing up is more reasonable. Still, the 08 FCV girls beat the 08 VA Union team in the 07 final. That could have just as easily happened in the 08 bracket if those teams were able to get by MD United, VYS, and Frederick. All of whom were likely stronger than any of the other 07 teams. |
Seems like playing up is a brilliant idea then. It avoids paying tournament fees to play opposing clubs you already see multiple times during the year in league play. Is your DD an 07 who didn’t get her medal because 08 teams played up an age group and competed for the championship? |
FCV wouldn’t have faced any of the teams the PP mentioned in regular league play. PP said the teams in their own age group would have been more competitive. Instead they played easier competition in the 07 age group. |

I’m not sure why you people bother trying to debate this infallible narcissistic FCV dad. This guy does not consider facts or outliers unless they favor FCV. Stop playing chess with this pigeon. He just knocks all the pieces over and shits all over the board.

Maybe FCV should play their teams up a year in the GA too? |
| Still Dont kno why loudoun is such a shitty club |
| Not so shitty-the Loudoun ECNL teams did pretty well in opening weekend (save for U17). |
| maybe they should be playing up 2 age groups. |
