Do people really have such serious dog allergies that passing a dog in a store causes them to get sick? I have severe allergies to cats, such that if I'm in a house with cats for anything longer than 15-20 minutes, my throat swells, eyes itch, and nose runs. However, a short encounter or visit in a house with cats would not have any impact. Are severe dog allergies really a thing when there is is fleeting contact? PS - not saying it's right to bring dogs where they aren't permitted. |
How would the narcissistic owners survive without the attention then? |
So much better than most people’s little darlings, screaming, crying, getting in the way, and making nuisances of themselves while their parents pretend they don’t exist. Leave your kids at home! They’re shouldn’t be at the store in a pandemic anyway. |
| I bring my Pekingese to TJ Maxx, she picks out her own toys and they have a nicer selection then the actual pet store. She goes in a pet carrier on wheels. |
oh dear god.
|
True. My kids never behave like that in public, we keep them on a right leash so to speak. But they rarely went to the store in before times and have not been to one since pandemic started. So let’s do the same for your darn dog: keep him home. Bonus, it’s legal for you to leave your dog alone, unlike my 4 year old, so if I can manage I’m sure you can. |
What’s wrong with it is that not everyone wants to be around dogs. I’m allergic and while I steer clear of them in stores it’s obnoxious that the dog is there. It’s a store/market/restaurant it’s perfectly reasonable to expect that an animal NOT be there. |
You are allergic to dogs that are passing by you? |
You know who should not be allowed in stores? MEN. they are the absolute WORST! They block aisles, bump into everyone, stop randomly and in the worst possible places, ask 10,000 completely asinine questions about things that don't matter, but mostly they block the whole GD aisle. I've hate dealing with men in the stores since I was in my 20s. |
Yes. |
And too lazy to train their dog. |
Men don’t scream at you and sometimes bite you when you’re minding your business. Well, some do but they should be in jail. That’s what dogs do. They have jumped on my kids and me, they get dirt and saliva on my shoes and clothes and I’ve even had fur from a dog that shook land on my dinner. They do not belong in places that are designed for humans. You look like an idiot when you bring your dog everywhere. |
Really? Where is the medical evidence of this? People become ill just passing by dogs? |
You’re probably one of those people who also think people with intellectual or physical disabilities should be kept out of your sight too. |
Nahhh. Just brats who refuse to be disciplined and own their parents. At least dogs are trained. |
