Yeah, I would. It sounds creepy AF.

Some of the questions are really not appropriate.

All three of my kids received opt out forms in their Friday folders.

Your kid was in school yesterday?

I sent my students Friday folders home on Thursday (ES teacher)

I don’t find it appropriate at all for children.

Not useful either.

1. Some of the questions could make a kid think something is wrong with them if they do not have a support system at the school. And, one person's view of "friends" may not be the same as another's.
2. A lot could depend on what happened at lunch the day the kid fills out the questionnaire.
3. Why did they throw in the race question?
4. Lots of kids would not answer honestly.
5. The drama queens could really go to town on this.

I would not want to fill this out for myself and have someone analyzing it.

The responses are not anonymous and stay with your kids files.

Fcps claims the data will be protected and secure. Yet they have not addressed multiple data breaches from the past year involving staff info, student info, special ed 504s and IEP breaches, student info from hundreds of South County students being accidentally released this past summer, and who knows what else.

Do we really need to waste precious educational hours and money on a stupid survey that has nothing to do with learning, is poorly designed (yet again) and will likely not be kept private or secure?

We opted out for our 3rd grader.

I'm opting my kids out. This is a strange thing to be made part of a child's educational record.

I opted 4th / 6th graders out --- questions are entirely inappropriate, IMO

It’s Not FCPS or SB’s business to know how my kids feel and manipulating them to feel the way the adm want to. Get out of the way and do your job which is TEACHING core subjects properly.

We haven’t received any official notification by the school about the survey or info on how to opt out. Is it too late??

16:05 posted the opt-out link.

Thank you!

-HS teacher (who will advise her students NOT to answer any forthcoming “social-emotional surveys” since they are placed in the kids’ files!)

My kid will not answer these questions honestly so I imagine many others won’t either. What a waste of time.
