Yeah pretty sure the new friends are not the Trumpers.

Exactly.

I’m the poster of this and oh snap I didn’t catch that! Ha ha ha!

If you’re a trumper why would I be friends with you, OP - you say shit like unmask our kids and the Capitol siege was a tour ha! And I bet you’re friends aren’t talking politics but saying things like “we should accept and care about everyone” or “we should help refugees” which I guess triggers you.

Be thankful they talk to you even, I sure as hell won’t, I cut the trumpers out of my life.

*your friends* gah iPhone (I need to correct that Bc I don’t want to sound like a trumper lol)

My sister complains about this too. It’s “impossible to make friends” in her neighborhood because everyone talks politics and she feels uncomfortable. Which is her way of saying they are all Dems and she’s a Republican.

Yes, this. And because they might ask her for evidence, sources etc. to back up her crazy think and that's when the Trumper arguments all fall apart. Can't handle the slightest bit of scrutiny.

This is a nothing statement. Accusing someone of having privilege means zero other than they’re privileged. And?

Oh go blow it out your ass. I care deeply about politics, which is why I have no interest in discussing it with the kind off casuals who get their news from cable television.

Nope. When I defend my positions and query them about theirs, my democratic friends are suddenly not interested in explaining what they like about Biden’s policies etc. cuz they can’t.

My friend on the left are as dogmatic as my friends on the right. This behaviour is not exclusive to one party.

I am a hard-line D voter. I can no longer stomach my progressive friends. They are just as self righteous as the Trumpers. It's too much. So yes, these pool parents could easily be either side. I have no difficulty believing that there are liberal parents at the pool patting themselves on the back for whatever moral high horse they're on at present.

+1. They're driving me straight to a more conservative approach because they're exhausting AF. And my work is even worse. Looking for a new job to get the hell out. Progressives are almost worse I dare say. The sanctimony is almost other worldly.

And the Democratic Party is not? Democrats are no innocents in the divisiveness that now exists over politics. Own it.

The Democrats have always had anti democratic tendencies. “The Squad” is an anti democratic tendency. But The Squad doesn’t control the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party is not about the weird worship of any dude. The anti democratic alt Right now does control the Republican Party.

All of you idiots will be arguing this until the entire world is up in flames. Trumpers are fearful, stupid cultists, Democrats are conservative AF, the only thing that will ensure the survival of the human race is progressives ready to take action. Not people who care about pronouns, that’s a distraction by both sides. Religion, capitalism, consumerism will kill us while you conservative idiots spew hate and so-called liberals engage in arguments with the crazies. Humanity is done.

I'm the PP. I find it so strange that Ds cannot comprehend any liberal finding fault in the party. I hear it all the time. Yes, Trump/Rs are terrible and we're not them. But we're also not perfect. We're sanctimonious and oh so arrogant. I need a mental break from most progressives. And I know that I"m not the only one. I have this talk with my neighbor, family, DH, and friends, most of whom are immigrants or POCs. So damn draining.
