| They are screwing you over. Their trees will befine then the little bugs go to the next tree......yours |
|
| The city planted new trees where my brother lives and all are netted. |
I don’t respect the city either. |
| Do you feel better for having gotten that off your chest, OP? Because as you may have noticed, precisely no one cares about your views in tree netting. You’re irrelevant. |
|
Well, I wish I did it two years ago when the deer ate my beautiful evergreen!
Now it is still alive, but with one side of green gone! |
In the suburbs, not really. This is our second go round with the 17 year Cicadas. We had new trees then and now. They were fine. And we get a LOT of them. |
What a weirdo. |
|
Thanks for sharing your disdain. Mind sharing your address so if you live in my neighborhood, I can make sure to avoid you?

I thought cicadas are harmless to trees and plants? My back yard that is bordered by forest is full of them.
A huge oak is full of them, and the base is full of their shredded skins! |
| Oh no! I bet they care. |
This. I judge the owners of ever clover free lawn I pass. So many hypocrites in this world. |
I don’t think you know what hypocrite means. |
Therapy. Definitely therapy.

They absolutely do hurt young trees, which are the only ones I’ve seen netted. https://extension.umd.edu/resource/cicadas https://utianews.tennessee.edu/the-17-year-cicadas-can-damage-your-trees/ https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/home/garden-tree-damage-cicadas/2021/03/30/b900f550-8cc7-11eb-a6bd-0eb91c03305a_story.html |
