| Yes, PP, yes!! So ridiculous. |
| Thank you to mayor eldrich for keeping Moco safe and secure |
| I am happy to not have to "spectate". I can't be the only parent that is praying this summer stays drop-off only! |
You're not the only one. I'm happy to have my kids enjoy the experience of summer swim. I would be glad to be relieved of the 4 hour Saturday morning commitment (and the occasional 4 hour Wednesday evening commitment). |
Elrich is not a mayor. I suppose this illustrates the population that is voting for him |
+100000!!!! |
What age do your kids have to be to do drop off in normal years? Guess it might depend on the pool rules. |
49% now so we will reach 50% either tomorrow by the weekend. Two weeks on from then we will adopt MD restrictions which, as of this weekend, is normal operations for both indoor and outdoor businesses. MCSL need to think about this again or they will look a little foolish. |
| Does anyone expect pools to not just ignore this? |
That’s my hope but I guess MCSL could disqualify teams that don’t follow their rules. Plenty of youth sports have more stringent rules than required by the state/county. Certainly looks like everything will be lifted in MoCo by the time practices, and certainly meets, start. |
The update from the county this morning is that they anticipate reaching 50% of residents having received their 2nd shot (or the 1 shot J&J vax) by May 15th, so May 29th is the date MoCo is expected to revert to state guidelines, which will be no restrictions at all on outdoor activities and venues. |
| Now that the CDC has lifted the mask mandate, it feels hard to imagine that the MCSL could maintain the current level of restrictions, right? |
| I wonder if distancing rules will still apply at pools. |
I would think so since combining the state guidance with the county’s statement this morning and now this afternoon’s CDC guidance, there will actually be no COVID restrictions in MoCo whatsoever as of May 29th. No masks at the pool, no ridiculous outdoor social distancing requirements, no need to police kids from getting too close at the pool. This is glorious 😀 |
That would have to be something mandated by individual pools. As of May 29th when the county flips to state guidance there are no restrictions on outdoor spaces. |
