My parents have had pure poodles most of my life. Many were huge jerks. When a -oodle is a jerk it’s usually because of the poodle part.

That has been my experience as well. I'm not a big fan of poodles.

No, I’m fine with breeds. I would get a lab, but I don’t want one with an insane fetch drive I need to satisfy every single day or who needs to carry something all the time.

I go to dog parks nearly every day and the doodles there are always among the fastest, most running like crazy dogs at the park. They all seem very energetic.

I will definitely take the dog to run around every day! I just don’t want to throw a ball 1000 times until the poor thing passes out mid-fetch.

FYI -All of my pure bred poodles have had an insane fetch drive. The -oodle part of any cross with a poodle might well want to fetch just as much as any lab out there. I have had decades of poodle ownership and decades of endless fetch. Poodles are bred to be retrievers - bird retrievers for water - and have that same drive as other retriever breeds,

Poodles love to pass out mid fetch. Before you get an ‘oddle’ of any type be sure to check out the fetch drive of poodles if you really want to avoid a dog that wants to fetch constantly.

Might as well ask for a reputable Pegasus breeder

Agree with this. I have owned standard poodle and now a miniature poodle. Both loves to play fetch. Their prey drive is quite high so I have invented the find it game. Where I have them smell a toy and then I hide it and then tell them to find it. my standard was very high energy, my miniature has medium energy

There is no reason for this, please be responsible and do not breed your dog.

The Amish breed all kinds of poodle mixes. Not in good conditions.

Ethical breeders do not breed mutts. Just plain and simple.

All these doodle mixes are horrible dogs. Why would you possible encourage this horrible practice by buying a dog that was mis bred and hence a miserable dog and a horrible pet all around?
First we create abomination, and then when abomination does what it is supposed to do, we hate the dog and try to get rid of the problem?

This is stupid. All dogs are good dogs.

Doodle breeders are horrible people, though. Profit motive vs breed standardization is a very ugly thing when it comes to breeding dogs. A very ugly thing. I should know, my toy poodle is a puppy mill rescue.

I really hope you take everyone’s advice seriously. Also, Wheaten Terriers are terriers with fluffly long hair. They are known to be “squirrely” and if planning to take to boarding or socializing, don’t be surprised if they wont be the friendliest with other dogs. Mixing with poodle is not advisable, unless you have time and money to pay for all obedience training and can continue to upkeep
