Reputable whoodle breeders?

My parents have had pure poodles most of my life. Many were huge jerks. When a -oodle is a jerk it’s usually because of the poodle part.

Where do people think “breeds” came from? Direct from the hand of God?

No, I’m fine with breeds. I would get a lab, but I don’t want one with an insane fetch drive I need to satisfy every single day or who needs to carry something all the time.

Wheatens are nicer dogs than poodles. You don't need a mix for hypoallergenic either!

I don’t care about shedding. Can you recommend a Wheaten breeder?

We grew up with black standard poodles and they were all so smart and funny. They came from old established lines, so they were great dogs.

Since I had to google this mix here is the pic of a puppy. They seem like adult dogs that no groomer ever wants to groom!
Never get a poodle unless you are ready to have a total chaos in your house. All the poodles and mixes I know are on Prozac.

My mini poodle is not on prozak. He is well behaved and smart as a whip

Well, I don't know your mini poodle, do I? I know two pure large poodles, on Prozac. And 3 Goldendoodles on prozac.
One that is Golden Doodle, I have no idea, but that dog is viscous. Though, I suspect due to poor dog ownership. I walked by their fenced in yard, small one. That poor dog is never on a walk, and well, predictably going nuts from boredom. And I hear the "mom" during a bbq when dog was out with them, yelling at the dog that she will chop his head off.
Honestly, she sounded deranged. It makes me sad for the poor dog.

Goldens generally fit this bill. They are like the lazy retriever—they’ll fetch if you really want them to. A spaniel also could be a good pick but for some reason spaniels are out of style and hard to find now, except cavs which are suddenly everywhere.
I don’t know enough about poodles or Wheaton’s to opine but I also know a large number of very hyper oodles, and one or two nice chill ones. The nice one is actually from a sketchy breeder situation so fingers crossed on the health issues because it’s a sweet dog.

Wheatens and all terriers in my experience are type A predators. They do not relax - ever. Your home will be free of vermin but be prepared.

A golden was my original idea, but spouse doesn’t want one. Childhood trauma, I think. Too bad because I think you’re right. I would also like something a little smaller though.

To the people saying they know bad whatever breeds, in my life I’ve known good and bad every breed I can think of and it’s always down to puppyhood and the owner. I’ve never known a really good dog owner who had a problem dog except when they were adopted as older dogs (well-managed).

Well, except for an insane jack Russell or two.
