Toddlers are truly strange little creatures.

- after six months of refusing to even try on a mask, he asked to wear his mask out of the blue and kept it on for the whole time we were out.
He must seen other kids on tv or outside and something told him inside: I want to look just like that! he will never tell you. More ahead.
- the stuffed animal he’s been sleeping with for over a year now terrifies him and has to go live in my closet.
New association with something bad, either dream or something else that made him to have a new fresh look at them.
- he doesn’t like pineapple after loving it for his entire life.
That can happen to anyone at any age. In this case, overload and his body has too much of bromelain.
- pulling fuzz off his sweater is hysterically funny.
Oh, that is just being a child and discovering new ways of having fun with things. Known also as child's play

Considering that this amazes you so much, first time parent and not too much contact with the kid daily?
Np but you're really insufferable!

Seriously. What an asshole.

Well, you’re certainly a bitter old hag.

This is too cute for so much analysis.

Almost 4 year old (so a bit out of toddlerhood but they stay weird until about age 5): "Mommy, I made you this card for your birthday. It's nice because usually I am rude."

She's actually rarely rude but her older brother is so I think she's picking up on the scolding!

My 2.5yo DS started calling me big sis a few days ago and has not called me anything else since. He also out of the blue sang Little Drummer Boy nearly word for word yesterday.

Whoa! You have serious problems, PP. what a misery you are. This was a light, fun thread until you arrived.

I’m serious - I think you need help.

Same.
When my DD was little, she did not want to change clothes in her room because of the stuffed animals. She said, “they have eyes”.

That is too cute.

I put my almost 2.5yo down for a nap today. I said “have a good nap” as I was leaving and he yelled out “thank you so much!!!”

Me, too. For some reason this thread reminded me of DD’s imaginary friends that she named Horizontal and Hanukkah.

My toddler once told me "Mom, I want to talk in your face!" for when he wanted to tell me a secret. It was so cute that now I just say the same phrase anytime I want to whisper something to him!
