MN Police Shoot and Kill Daunte Wright

Same thing that killed Oscar Grant in 2009.

The police are allowed to run your plate without any cause.

If it comes up with a problem, they are allowed to pull you over just for that reason.

Ran his plate for what reason?

Police need no reason to run a plate.

Seems like the tires could have been shot if they wanted to apprehend him. The air freshener law sounds dumb.

+1. It is not "his license plate." It's the state's license plate. You pay to have it placed on your car. Driving and registering a car is not a right, it's a privilege that can be revoked at any time.

Its for the attention. Other races are shot and killed all the time and no media attention.

He was pulled over because his car tags were expired.

The footage is out. The incompetent cop meant to use a taser on him when he resisted arrest and jumped back in his car, but accidentally pulled out her gun.

The cop will probably get a very stern letter of reprimand

nope not true

Wright was a very bad man.

The warrant was over unpaid fines for 2 minor misdemeanors — one a marijuana case — totaling $346. He pled guilty, filed for deferred payment and they were sent to collections.

We can't have individuals like this in our communities.

True. Her boss just announced in a press conference. Where are you reading the opposite. Cop herself said (to her Captain supposedly)she meant to deploy taser.

It's not racial. It's simple. Follow police orders.

What if they told you to strip, need to search you for drugs? Weapons? If you don’t, going to jail. Follow those orders too?

You still need probable cause to run a plate

If I was a known drug kingpin sure. It's to be expected. And please stop using these NEVER GONNA happen examples to prove a non point. If you have a point - just make it. Stop being dramatic.
