Thanks for all you do, vet poster. People need to lay off their poor vets, especially right now. How are they not aware there is a huge mental health crisis in the field? FWIW my large animal vet is in person for exactly the reason stated...I have to be there to lend a hand. Small animal vets are still remote, vet hospitals are still remote for all sizes. I spend a LOT of time with vets because I am a horse farm owner and it is the tail end of breeding season...one of my mares is on her THIRD AI cycle, ugh. I am so grateful to my vets for all they do for us animal owners! It is a difficult and often thankless task. I try to make sure my vet knows it isn’t his fault she didn’t take easily! |
100% agree. It's ridiculous that I can go see my doctor, my dentist, my hairdresser, go to my gym, go in a store and pay for something, and on and on and on but not be able to be in a room with one other person for a 15 minute vet check up if we are all masked. I think for some reason it's easier for them to do appts this way and they simply want to keep it going. I am literally changing to another vet because of this very reason. |
Hi there, Dr. Vet. I just want to voice my support for drop off appointments. I LOVE them. I find having to sit in the waiting room with my dog while other dogs and cats come in and out to be terribly stressful. |
Don't let the door hit you on the way out. I have plenty of clients to fill your place. |
