Vet here - Fact is we can get the job done without letting you in. Cannot do all of those other jobs without letting you in...Why do we need to rush to exposure when we are not certain which clients are vaccinated and which are not? How about THAT common sense?  Honestly a large portion of my clients WANT to keep it like this - they go run an errand while the pet is with me. We do a video call with the owner during the exam.

Thanks for all you do, vet poster.  People need to lay off their poor vets, especially right now.  How are they not aware there is a huge mental health crisis in the field?

FWIW my large animal vet is in person for exactly the reason stated...I have to be there to lend a hand.  Small animal vets are still remote, vet hospitals are still remote for all sizes.

I spend a LOT of time with vets because I am a horse farm owner and it is the tail end of breeding season...one of my mares is on her THIRD AI cycle, ugh.  I am so grateful to my vets for all they do for us animal owners!  It is a difficult and often thankless task.  I try to make sure my vet knows it isn’t his fault she didn’t take easily![/quote]
