Which school? |
That’s good. Prepare for the worst and have low expectations. I’m feeling the same. Even looking online at new house in a district where I like the HS better... have plans did this weekend so you aren’t just sitting around thinking and sad. That’s my plan anyway. If things end up differently I’ll be ecstatic |
Same here. Got one from Holton and one from GDS saying that decisions will be released after 4pm. I said to myself, "this is the waitlist or reject email". My DD told me that one of her friends received an email saying that "your application looks good and we are looking forward to seeing in the next school year". I'm expecting all WL or rejections because we applied for FA. I absolutely HATE this process.

Your DD’s friend is messing with her (and you). People aren’t getting those emails. |
At least the Holton email was just a matter of fact statement about how to see the results. The GDS email seems to be something else entirely. |
. Huh? What do you mean by the GDS email? |
| Two more days. Feeling much better now that things are truly out of our control now. |
| This thread makes me feel less crazy. |
This is a good point but probably won’t stop me from checking early... |
Agree. I know we did our best and our child is who she is. There is nothing more we can do. Not to say I won’t be very disappointed for her on Friday but at least I won’t have any regrets. |
| My kid did horrible on two interviews and I am sure he won’t get in to those schools. I have hope in one where the Interveiw went well. However I know it’s out of my hands. I am going to check Ravenna on Sunday evening. I refuse to let this ruin my weekend if he doesnt get in. |
What was the GDS email? Ours seemed very routine. |
Ours was routine too. What do you mean that the GDS email "was something else entirely?" |

I thought it was funny how it made sure to say that the office will be closed when decisions go out and won’t open again until Monday. Pretty clearly insinuating that we will not like the outcome and to use the weekend as a cooling off period. At least that’s my take. I also don’t find it credible that the letters will be personalized beyond just changing the names of the recipients. |
