| Yes! Wishing the best for everyone's child. This is SO hard, hopefully the best outcome happens for all. |
| Is there ever a year where everyone is happy? Or are all of these threads about shut outs and many WLs false? |
| I am feeling very pessimistic - and feel like this weekend will just be a big letdown. |
Public school kids get shut out all the time. (my kid applied out of public). |
Big same. It goes up and down in waves, but mostly resignation at this stage. Normally I would just move on and focus on something else when I feel this way, but it is so hard to. |
| We got an email from Langley last Friday with general updates about the school. I held my breath at first because I thought it was an admissions decision. I’m solidly in the “just in case” checking category. |
I wouldn’t think so. There are only so many spots and people do have first choices. |
| I'm so lame, I actually researched and read technical documentation to figure out how decision letters will get published in Veracross. |

A few years ago, the Friday of decision day was a snow day, everyone was home. And some schools did post their decisions before 4pm. It made for total misery for us, even though the decisions worked out well for our DC by the end of the day.
We are going through the process again this year, but won't check until 4. When you start checking early, if one comes out early and it does not go your kid's way, waiting for the others really stinks. |
Got one too. Feel like it is a set up to prepare for the ultimate let down. |
| I wish I spent as much time on the applications as I have looking here the past few days... |
LOL |
| This is the best string in weeks. It has confirmed that either I am not crazy, or that all of us are. Thanks for your honestly! I feel much better. |
| I've been on this forum much more often, but haven't checked Ravenna since checking our registration for an event. But we also only applied to one school and the suspense hasn't hit me. |
