Why do guys cheat with women opposite from the ones they date?

APs might be emotionally stunted and selfish, but there is no evidence (except in the head of the wronged spouse) that they are shorter, dumpier, fatter, uglier, less intelligent, or less wealthy than the wronged spouse. The wronged spouse obviously feels that way. But she/he doesn't look at his/her own flaws with quite the venom, I think.

Depends. Mine met someone on the Internet/nsa. Availability/location was all that mattered. 50, dumpy, witch’s chin/nose, carrot top color hair, very short and no job. Maybe if it was a person IRL like a co-worker where feelings were there—not somebody you sleep with first time meeting- it would be a different t standard.

The cream of the crop of women aren’t on a dating/hook-up website while married. Women are hit on all of the time if they are half-way decent looking. The dregs (no job so no chance of meeting co-worker and not hot enough to get picked up IRL) and mental/dysfunctional/borderline are the ones with dating profiles.

Honestly, from what I've seen, if the man is still as attractive as he was when he met the wife, he cheats with someone very similar to the wife in looks, maybe even better looking. Sorry to burst your bubble, OP.
