100% drawers. I’ve never thought a cabinet better than a drawer. (Unless under sink)

Deep drawer. Top part has electric outlets and is used to charge electric devices. That drawer slides back and there is room for papers or items you want to keep short term

At least one electric outlet in pantry for charging electric broom or for plugging in small fridge or freezer. If you eventually have children, , it is helpful to have more fridge and freezer space.

WiFi repeater

No through the door ice and water on fridge. Messy.

Porcelain sink rather than stainless steel

Casement windows above sink and any counters because they are easy to open

Porcelain is SO hard to maintain.

Under cabinet lighting. Automatic In cabinet lighting when open and close doors. TWO sinks. First should be the biggest one you can find. Second should be very large. Put one in island. Other under window. I like a huge refrigerator and freezer. Or refrigerator or freezer drawers but I can’t comment on the cost of install. You always need more fridge and freezer space, esp if you shop bulk.

Ours isn’t. What do you mean?

Love my under and over cabinet lighting on dimmer. Easy to open windows. Super quiet dishwasher.

Not to change the subject, but for those of you recommending two sinks, can you please explain why? Every time I see two sinks in a kitchen I wonder what the purpose is...

-Don't skimp on the large refrigerator. KitchenAid makes one that isn't as pricey as the sub zero. Promise you won't regret this.
-I agree with the 6 burner stove as well, no one ever said, "Gee, I have too much space on my stove." Same applies for refrigerator, above.
-Also agree with the largest single bowl sink, and a second one in the island. I know it's controversial, but ours is on the side of the island, and it's great to have two people working in the kitchen, as well as using it filled with ice and drinks at parties.
-For the microwave, I skipped the drawer, I think it's hard to get things in and out of it, but definitely go for a convection microwave, which gives you an extra oven for those times you need it. Christmas, Thanksgiving, Etc.
- lots of lighting options. We have lights over the eat-in kitchen table, lights over the island to use for working, lights over the sink, and then general overhead lights (on dimmere). Lots of switches, but I figured them out pretty quickly.

PP here, one more I forgot: the entire space above my refrigerator are vertical cabinets, where I store baking sheets, lasagna pans, cupcake tins, cake pans, Etc. I have another one in a lower space near my sink, where I do a lot of prep work, that has cutting boards and a few other items. Don't skimp on those vertical cabinets!

New luxury builds are not doing pasta fillers anymore.

Farmhouse sinks need so much maintenance. Who has time to take care of their sink? We have an undercount stainless steel big ass sink and it’s spray down and done!

We have a huge black granite sink that I love.

The things I like most would be our 71"LaCanache French range, a single bowl 36" sink, a butler's pantry, and separate commercial sized refrig and freezer - each one is 48" wide and having that much space is great, especially for storing larger things. I also had spaces for all small appliances earmarked so the cabinets could be designed with them in mind.

This sounds restaurant-sized and not in a good way. I tried to google to find images like this even described and could not.

+1. Does your kitchen look like the back of a Burger King (+ a $14k stove though, of course)

NP-I imagine it looks like a Kenwood kitchen
