You sound like a really nice guy, OP.

Is there a therapist you could maybe reach out to?

For you/ I'm not 32 , but I'm okay dating a guy 10 to 20 years older now that I'm in my 30s.

But if a 51 year old woman made a post about a bad break up and someone suggested she get with a 32-year-old man just for fun. you'd be all for it. It's a fling not a marriage.

Go ahead..tell us the story. You know we’ve heard just about everything under the sun here on DCUM.

I don’t want to offer you false hope, but I will say pretty much every single break up I ever went through went a couple rounds before it was really over.

It’s not unusual for people to have a change of heart.

She might be back if you give her some space.

Same here, don’t want to offer false hope, but agree about the space thing. I was going to give my ex 30 days before so contacted her. She ended up trashing out after 3 weeks. We are back together now.

Why is being from different worlds a problem unless one of you is from a married world and the other isn't?

Exactly in the space issue. And don’t drop any more hints. At least a half-dozen of us probably know one or both of you.

It's not using if both want it, sometimes the best way to get over someone is to get under or over someone else, whatever your preference is.

My experience has been that reuniting after a breakup doesn't work. The weight of the past that I didn't like, or he didn't, always returned to end the relationship, and it just made the final breakup more painful.

How about facing issues and working on recovering from a breakup from within rather than looking for an outside solution. No wonder there are so many unbalanced people out there.

You’ll be fine. It’s like getting punched in the nose. It stings for a little bit and will go away.

I’m the PP. I mean yeah most of the time I think that’s true. Sometimes it ends up working out though. DH and I broke up a couple times before we got married, but now we are OK. Every once in awhile things work out.
