Succession or Billions?

I like them both but Succession is light years better.

Billions is an easier, simpler watch so see why many would prefer it.

Billions went hyper woke and is totally unwatchable. The transgender trader genius, two diva genius black women, the Jewish female shrink genius. All 4 of these characters are totally insufferable — like every scene in The Sopranos with the annoying shrink.

And the men are fools who’d be nothing without these woke tough females in their life. It’s tiresome.

First season of Billions was awesome. Because it was about the inner workings of insider trading. It opened a window into a dark area of Wall Street. It got worse and worse since then. The writing is terrible and the last season was just awful. My wife and I watch the show simply to make fun of it. The characters and storylines are so unbelievably cheesy.

Succession? Amazing show, one of the best on TV. The character development is great and the writing is so smart. I have very high expectations for Season 3.

Earlier in this thread I voted for Billions, saying that I couldn't get into Succession. But with so many pro Succession people I went back to it. Not all episodes are great, and Kendall's umms and ahhhs kind of drove me crazy, but I just finished Season 2 and with NO spoilers, it was great! I loved it.

Making Wendy, a super cringy know-it-all shrink, a co-star of Billions ruined it. Just like that shrink ruined all the scenes in the Sopranos. Totally pointless and annoying.

Oooof. I finally got around to watch the seven episodes of the newest season of Billions, which was interrupted by COVID.

So terrible. Awful, awful, awful.

The artist storyline? Super cheese.

Chuck dating the gender studies/psychology professor? It's just too much.

I have to stifle my laughs because it's so bad. Giamatti will do anything for a paycheck, I guess.

Succession is so awesome! The new season is coming later this year. I love the Keiran Culkin and Geri moments. All the acting, dialogue and storylines are fantastic.

Dialogue and acting on billions is terrible. Damian Lewis is terribly miscast (and honestly is not as talented as he thinks he is). Malin Ackerman is so, so wooden. Thank god she is so beautiful or she would have no career at all.
