Based on what you know, would you let your son or daughter play in a lacrosse game?

No issue

A lax player that plays hard sweats while they play. So they are sick they touch the ball. They pick up the ball with their glove. Touch their stick etc...

For people that are literally washing every single food item coming into the house. How is the world will Lax players not get the virus?

Yes, let's get those lax players out playing such an important game that makes zero money for colleges, zero money for players, oh wait all these kids are in it for the free college education. LOL......

Sure people go on let your kids play!

Please go curl up in a ball with your keyboard and stay in your closet until you can get either a giant bubble or a vaccine.

If fields were open right now, I'd let my son play. Probably let my son play any sport that he doesn't touch the ball directly with his skin (so no basketball, baseball, volleyball).

Based on what I have read, my guess is this thing as been here since about Nov and so many people have it already (w/o symptoms), we all would be fine. Keep the grandparents at home. Watch from a safe distance and have at it.

Man..so many angry responses. So darn serious all the time. No wonder kids don't have any fun playing sports...

How about football?? Go out on a field, full pads, 2 refs, 11 v 11??

it doesn't matter. Hogan will have us locked up until after Spring break 2021. He loves it.

I’m not doing that.

They are not going to get the virus playing lacrosse, that is stupid.

Even if by some miracle they allow football in the fall, there most certainly won't be inter-state football. Looks like the WCAC will be breaking up into a DC, MD and VA division and same for the IAC. They might get 3 or 4 games total.

No contact means no contact sports.

It's not that hard of a concept.

I suppose we should put the HS and college kids in bubbles when they go back to school this fall. C'mon people, the risk of serious illness to the majority of ages around the lacrosse field is minimal. Yes, people will get the virus. Most will have few to no symptoms. Some will have a bad case of the flu. Yes, those who are older or have underlying health risks will need to stay home and take necessary precautions. But we can not keep the vast majority of people with low risks from moving forward with life because of those older who can choose to self-isolate if they so choose. Those who want to take extra precautions attending games can do this as well. There used to be a time when building up an immunity was considered a good thing. Now people seem to want kids in bubbles. Lets get back to playing. Monitor the situation and if data suggests an adjustment be prepared to adjust. Waiting a year for a vaccine is not the answer.

(note, I'm kidding). I'd love for them to be back out there, but not until it is safe.

Define "safe"

safe = Dr. Fauci goes outside without a mask.

No contact for how long? When will it be okay?

100%! Bravo! It’s like people don’t understand the data. Who is most vulnerable? What conditions do they live/work? Current health status. It’ll all be fine.

Nope. We continue to learn more info about this virus every week so there's no way we can assess the risk right now.

You mean when Dr. Fauci goes inside a grocery store without a mask? I think he said outdoor activity without a mask is okay.
