Based on what you know, would you let your son or daughter play in a lacrosse game?

No they won't. Even if the tournaments are played, schools are going to tighten budgets and travel will be an easy expense to cut.

We will see many events pay the coaches to attend

Sigh. I'm fine with YOU playing. In fact I'm all for it because then you will stop whining about it. The problem for me is that you will come back and be around my kid/s. That isn't okay with me. We don't want the germs that you will be carrying with you.

Why is that a problem if you keep you and your kids inside and quarantine?

Legally - unless its something like a LacrosseMasters gig, I have never seen anyone PAY for coaches to attend. I am 99.9 perent positive the NCAA would take a very dim view if this was to be anything more than a random idea.

Just curious, why wouldn't a coach making this his or her profession be able to accept payment from an event. Coaches are not like athletes trying to maintain an amateur status. This is their profession, so it seems like an event that wants to hire them to attend could do so. As long as the coach follows policies regarding contact with prospects at these events what would cause such a dim view on the part of the NCAA.

I have no clue what lacrosse masters is but coaches are often paid by NXT and NLF to attend but they justify this by having the coaches who are assistances coach the teams at the events. Most of these events have recently changed dates and locations. They seem to be avoiding MD.

Yes there are bigger problems in life, the planet, the economy, and college athletics. However, IL is still taking reservations for the summer tournaments. They are reporting on the impact that football has on lacrosse and all other sports and suggesting it is time to change the model which is just another unintended consequence of this pandemic. However, the article you are referring to has nothing to do with summer tournaments which it would appear IL think may still happen. Our bubble is still in tact.
