Is there anything positive that someone could say here that you would not attribute to Alexandria staff? Do you think it is impossible for anyone to have a different opinion than you? |
| I have to admit anytime something negative is written about Alexandria it is Immediately attacked. It's very suspicious to say the least. I don't care about Alexandria but as a reader I do notice the "Do not write anything negative about Alexandria" on the wall |
Forums do not always have to be bastions of negativity either. And frankly, most of the community could care less how much money their DOC makes. Talk about it with your club mates but most here just don't care. |
| I don’t get it. If you don’t like Alexandria, then why play their tournament then complain. There were lots of good NFL playoff games this past weekend. |
wow people are waking up. Alexandria staff are always on DCUM don't say to much or this thread WILL be taken down |
As someone who truly has no dog in this sight (Bethesda resident whose kids play rec soccer), it sure seems like you have an ax to grind. |
If the general conversation isn't about the tournament then yes, it WILL be taken down because it is being hijacked. |
| $10 to park in DC is pretty cheap. |
|
I would be surprised if ASA got a cut of the parking fee. It is a privately owned lot. You could have parked for free in the neighborhood, we did.
Also we also had games in Alexandria for the tournament, not all of the games were at the Armory. Those other venues were free to park (Hammond, Jeff Houston, etc). I agree ASA has it's issues, but paying to park seems pretty minor. |

My son plays for Alexandria, and I was initially mildly annoyed at the concept of paying $10 to park, since we had to go to the Armory in three separate trips, given the timing of our games. But, we wound up paying zero dollars to park, because there was always street parking.
I found the refs to be inconsistent, but often not in our favor. |
I know the futsal rules quite well because my son has played for four years now. I thought the refs were inconsistent in calling fouls. I also think that it is unusual that different tournaments have different rules about throwing the ball into the opposition half - it should be consistent by age group across tournaments. It was fine for our age group to do in the recent Richmond tournament, but we found out the hard way that it was not fine here. I do not agree that the refs were biased in favor of Alexandria, however. |
Not sure why the rules are not the same across all games. It seems like it would be easy enough for all the tournaments and games to be played using the rules from the ‘national’ championship tournament. |
| We heard a lot of Alexandria parents using derogatory racial/ethnic slurs towards the Dc hyper futsal team. Way to keep it classy Alexandria. Remember its a reflection on your kids and club. #whiteprivlige |
interesting, because we were at the Richmond tournament last month too and we found the refs to be insanely inconsistent, especially with regards to free kicks/fouls. |
Clearly grounds for taking down this thread. |
