I think this is still up in the air. Or at least there was some talk about gender neutral restrooms last year. The county did a big study on converting restrooms to gender neutral ones at each school. Not sure what the outcome will be for that.

If they change restrooms to gender neutral, then they would likely also have to change locker rooms.

If there are X locker rooms, will they need to hire X staff to monitor them since no students can be unsupervised in locker rooms anymore?

How about using single stall changing space for everyone? Stalls are narrow so only one person fit in. Stalls has elock which can be opened with student id. No more locker room. A locker hall with changing stall serves everyone.

Think of all the cleaning supplies that could be bought with the money wasted on pandering to a mental illness.
It’s shit like this that infuriates parents when we get shaken down for things like paper towels and Clorox wipes.

Is choosing an X making a personal statement. I consider myself female but like to give out as little info on my self as possible. I might start choosing X.

I’m not agreeing tga it’s a mental illness. But I wonder if you also think 504 plans designed to help kids who have emotional disorders or anxieties are also pandering to a mental illness when instead we could just give the kids Clorox wipes?

Is MCPS going to rework the AP Biology syllabus to accommodate this new species?

This is not helping the mental illness -- it is pandering to it. If my mental illness makes me say that I am from the planet Zetron beyond Pluto, it does not help me to have the school have a additional category for extraterrestials.
