Pp here. Also have camp days for any day school is out and building is open (ie PD, conference, records days etc). Not open on Fed holidays. It’s great.

Is that included in the $250/month?

L-T doesn't have before care at all, which surprised me as a new family. They do allow drop off beginning at 8:05, though. Are there other schools that have no before care option?

Truesdell does not have before care. It's a major bummer.

No, it’s $80/day + $20 for aftercare, IIRC.

Friendship Armstrong is $70 a week for before and aftercare. There is a before care-only price but I don't know what it is. This year there was a $10 registration fee, and they are open on some of the days that kids don't have school, but not all. There's a 10% discount for siblings.

Here's the latest data set: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DUhu04qLAs-EG4Nkrp3AmKoLFZN_kBdaWILAzDbqLQU/edit?usp=sharing

My initial thoughts regarding schools listed:
1. The range of costs is huge. PCS: The most being $500 a month (~$5000 a year), the least $165 (~$1650/year). DCPS: Similar range of costs: $425/month (~$4250/year) to ~$95/month ($950/year).
2. All PCSs before care and after care cost more than DCPS. This should be figured into analysis of lottery options if you need this service.

I don't understand why PCS before care and after care isn't subsidized like DCPS is. Can anyone speak to this?

Thanks again. And if you have more schools, PLEASE add them.

DCPS aftercare is only subsidized in title 1 schools.

There are Title 1 charters too, but I think that at least some of the funds for subsidized aftercare come from a federal or private foundation grant that DCPS got. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

and even that is not a given. We are at a Title 1 school and its 240/month. There are some grants but they definitely do not cover all the kids who might need them.

We are paying $450/month in aftercare for Yu Ying.

Not to mention that aftercare at some Title 1 schools fill up quickly - something to keep in mind if you receive a late offer, but need aftercare.

Thank you for doing this OP. It will help many families. Maybe consider asking Jeff to lock it.

I’d also add that ITS is $299 if you’re a YMCA member.
