Here's the latest data set: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DUhu04qLAs-EG4Nkrp3AmKoLFZN_kBdaWILAzDbqLQU/edit?usp=sharing My initial thoughts regarding schools listed: 1. The range of costs is huge. PCS: The most being $500 a month (~$5000 a year), the least $165 (~$1650/year). DCPS: Similar range of costs: $425/month (~$4250/year) to ~$95/month ($950/year). 2. All PCSs before care and after care cost more than DCPS. This should be figured into analysis of lottery options if you need this service. I don't understand why PCS before care and after care isn't subsidized like DCPS is. Can anyone speak to this? Thanks again. And if you have more schools, PLEASE add them.
DCPS aftercare is only subsidized in title 1 schools.
and even that is not a given. We are at a Title 1 school and its 240/month. There are some grants but they definitely do not cover all the kids who might need them.
Not to mention that aftercare at some Title 1 schools fill up quickly - something to keep in mind if you receive a late offer, but need aftercare.
