+1. Her look is ridiculously overworked. The antithesis of NE prep.

Both of these are awful examples. #1 is a flashy Texan and #2 is how people who have never been to NE think NE preps dress

I love Tuckernuck but I love having a retirement fund more! Wish there was a knock-off brand.

Actually the Kiel James Patrick insta gram is a couple that is into fashion and design. I think their posts are good inspiration. That’s the point.

Yes, but in no way does that make them authentically NE prep. I hate to make this about class, but they’re LMC Rhode Islanders pretending to be a lot wealthier than they are. I wouldn’t be half so judgmental if they were just like, this is who we are, this is what we like. But they borrow all their props and don’t pay to stay at the locations where they shoot. It’s just so thirsty.

You can't be serious. This couple is not LMC. Their taste and aesthetic is clearly UMC+. I scrolled through their insta, and they were invited to Brooks Brothers 200th anniversary celebration. Regardless of their origins, their prep credentials are solid.

Hopefully women who are 30+ are thinking of themselves as "classic" or "timeless chic" rather than "prep."

I searched for this brand, but only menswear comes up?
Where do you find this?

Thanks!

No. Their huckster credentials, however, are impeccable.

The poster is referencing J McLaughlin. This question was asked and answered earlier in the thread btw.

That’s like some retro blog that could be from 2007?

IMO, southern preppy ppl wear more dresses and skirts and are more style-driven; they also wear more brighter colors and (lily-type) patterns.

NE preppy is oriented towards cold weather so more pants (denim or khakis) and cable-knit sweaters. The color pallet is navy blue, hunter green and burgundy and neutrals that complement like camel. In summer they mix-in mid-blues and white.

Its basically the difference between Reese Witherspoon (in real life) and the style of the character her boyfriend dumped her for in Legally Blonde.

uhh... No. Not at all. Reese Witherspoon irl is definitely southern preppy, not New England preppy, but classier than the Georgia sorority girl look. Her character on legally blonde is a typical California rich ditz, who in no way encompasses or is demonstrative of preppiness. You are confusing wealth with preppiness.
