I HATE the back of my legs

PP back with a question about cellulite: do competitive female bodybuilders/weightlifters have cellulite? I’ve never noticed which makes me think that extremely low body weight, extreme training and tanning! and dieting at least makes cellulite temporarily disappear.
What happens when this hard training stops? Does the cellulite reappear?

I can assure you that you have regular bones.

OP here. Ok this is getting off track but I have small bones. Its a thing. My wrist is the size of my 9 year olds wrist. My ring size is a size 4. These are things that have nothing to do with my weight or my body image like this board is suggesting but it does correlate with a smaller amount of mass.

You are short and skinny. You are size of many 9 year old girls. Given that, you have a small frame. Doubtful that your bones are smaller by much than of any woman of the similar size, or heavier woman too, they would have almost the same bone size as you. Any bone size difference is usually less than 1?4 inch. Hence, you have regular sized bones for woman your size, meaning height and ethnic group. They can differ(still not a lot) depending on your ethnicity. Clearly a 6' woman will have a larger frame. It is such a small thing, that it is basically not a thing.
Body-frame size
Height: Women Small Medium Large
< 5? 2? Wrist: < 5.5? Wrist: 5.5? to 5.75? Wrist: > 5.75?
5? 2? to 5? 5? Wrist: < 6? Wrist: 6? – 6.25? Wrist: > 6.25?
> 5? 5? Wrist: < 6.25? Wrist: 6.25? – 6.5? Wrist: > 6.5?

Female here... I am not a body builder but I lift regularly and my body fat is in the low 16%s which is within or very close to the range of a female body builder. I have some minor cellulite on my upper thighs most of the time. There is only one way I have found to make it go away- walk twice a day for a total of 10-13 miles per day, every day, for a month or so. But this is incredibly time consuming so I don't do it often. I don't need to look perfect.

Cellulite is genetic. Life is TOO SHORT to hate any part of your body. You sound like you're in great shape and have great health habits. Put your energy into keeping that up and finding clothes that flatter you.

If it’s really bothering then some targeted lipo in that area may be an option.

Go to a dermatologist and ask if acoustic wave therapy is an option for you.

When I’m at the pool, I can always tell who has been on the pill for 20 years.

Haha no. Same problem in early 30s and took BC for around 3 months my entire life. Same story with several friends.

What a ridiculous statement.

OP, I believe you! I am 5'3 and big boned. I have a large head and large, wide set eyes. I am super strong, and struggle to fit my shoulders in jackets... When I am in the "healthy range" for my height, 120's, I look hella sick. My eyes and cheeks are sunken and my hair falls out. I naturally am strongest and healthiest in the upper 130s.

I believe you, too, OP. I'm 5'8 and when I get below 150 I start to look like Skeletor.

Anyway, I agree with PPs who say that it's genetic. Most women can't easily sustain a very low amount of body fat, and even those who do may still have cellulite on certain areas. I have a little on my upper thighs and rear; the amount of work it would take to get rid of it simply is not worth it to me. Ask yourself how this issue truly affects your life. Hugs.

It will not matter if you lose weight. You are probably genetically predisposed to cellulite on your legs. There are very underweight people with cellulite.

Most have a lot of work done, not just surgical but dermatology, etc. Most are also very young and pre kids during their competitive days.

+1

What a crazy assumption! I can’t believe PP has been telling herself this. The things people think! Lol

OP, that happened to me and I am about your size. Save all of your family’s coffee grounds, and run them into the cellulite once or twice a week for a couple of weeks. It’s blasts it away.

Don’t drink coffee that morning though!
