What do you mean by “feral children?” I want to know.
Are you dehumanizing these children like the Rwandans did before the genocide? Think about it.

Not np. These kids are running around unsupervised without adult leadership and proper guidance, that is feral. Too bad you continue to look for excuses to defend this behavior, you are not helping these young people.

I am not defending them I am asking for some humanity. When you speak of them as if they are animals you treat them
Like animals and regard them like animals. Language has meaning.

DP- Perhaps they should stop acting like animals.

You mean like the humanity they showed this young woman when assaulting her and threatening her life. No, they do not deserve humanity. They deserve to be held accountable for their actions. It is your ridiculous belief that because they are poor black children they do not know right from wrong and we should understand that they simply were never taught this, and to this I call BS. Having spent my entire adult life in this area I can tell you that your compassion and dismissiveness has led to them believing that violating other's rights is acceptable and it is NOT. I am beyond sick of this, without accountability with do not have a civilization.

The behavior is 100% wrong and the kids should be held accountable. That does not make them animals. That makes them lawbreaking people. And no one should be above the law.

But also if you decide to stop riding metro ar night because of one tweet then I wonder how much you ever ride metro. Some posters clearly want to turn this is into a giant “us v them”

They are acting like a pack of wild dogs

It's called fronting. They do it to each other and to anyone that catches their eyes. It's about picking onpeople. It's also about face . They only do it in groups and they will not back down. You must back down. It's about teen power politics.

Isnt it awesome that DC has blessed fare jumpers so we now have no idea who is in metro. I'm guessing the ones who cant be bothered to get/use free metro cards would also be more likely to front random people.

PP probably means teens whose behavior indicates an absence of competent parenting.

Yes, these nasty, feral girls only stop when they get pregnant, but unfortunately they have no parenting skills so the cycle continues.

Were they apprehended? Why do we have such crap cameras and policing in metro. It's basically a contained death trap if someone decides to assault you.

I used to all the time and then stopped when the kids were little.

Mace and pepper sprays are illegal to carry in DC. It’s the exact same criminal charge as if you were caught carrying a gun.

Pretty stupid to risk a felony like that out of fear of kids goofing around.

I carry mace and would risk a felony if I could stop one of the “kids goofing around” from harming me.

And yet, oddly enough, over 700,000 people do live in DC, including children.

And oddly enough hundreds of thousands of others have been pushed out of their homes and sent to PG County so that the 700,000 can live there.
