Move in with a newborn or stay in apartment I hate?

I would not move twice!

You would have to be insane to move with a 1 week old.

Moving w/a 1 week old might be ok if you do none of the work or unpacking.

I live in a house with stairs. I've had two c-sections while here, both while also caring for other kids. I just made sure I came downstairs to the kitchen/living area only once in the day, then went upstairs only once at night.

Personally, I think my recovery was quicker because I was moving around. I just didn't go up and down a lot at first and I didn't lift anything.

+1 I had a C-section with my 3rd kid and had 2 kids 3 and under. In fact, the 2nd kid wasn't even walking when the 3rd was born (all my kids were late walkers). Our condo was on the 3rd floor. I hated the C-section and slept like shit because of it but stairs weren't an issue. Oh, and the washer/dryer were in the basement.

Move!

OP here. But they tell you not to use stairs?

I lived in a third floor walk up when I had my c section. Take the stairs slowly, don’t carry things up and down the stairs until you’re feeling stronger, and rest if you feel like you need to. One of my neighbors put a folding chair on the second floor landing for me and would try and insist that I sit down for a rest. I never needed to, the stairs actually weren’t the worst part. The doctors warn you about those, but not how difficult it will be to try and get up after sitting down on an extra soft, cushiony couch.

Sounds like you already have a kid since you mentioned vbac. Are you really this naive? Is everything exactly what they told you for your first kid? I personally could do everything after my c. I was up within 12 hours. But you seem to want to fight us on every little thing, so, figure it out on your own.

OP here. I am not trying to start a fight. I would be worried about getting hurt. There has to be a reason doctor's say no stair's. I was not up within 12 hours. I couldn't visit my son in the NICU until day 3.

Is this a joke?

OP here: You know what, I went over our lease and they do month to month here instead of signing a new lease. I think it's best to wait a few months after the baby arrives to move. I am ok.

Unless they decide to give you 30 days notice before that.

What in the world? I live in a SFH and walked up my stairs to my bedroom the day I got home...multiple times. Nobody needs to be sleeping in the downstairs.

Good for you but it's not recommended. Are the recommendations from OBS just a joke?

OP here. I told the leasing office that I cannot accept a shorter lease. Possibly moving 3 times in 12 months is too stressful for me to deal with. I know most likely we will end up extending because finding a new place will be hard. I would rather deal with potential new noisy neighbors vs moving with a newborn. Cutting our lease short also means we will have a rent increase in 7 months. It could be as much as $150. Our lease was supposed to be for another 13 months.

No, wait.
