Move in with a newborn or stay in apartment I hate?

My apartment is allowing me to switch units. The catch is that my lease will ends sooner. It will end exactly around my due date and most likely I will have a c section. There's still a possibility I can do vbac but let's just assume c section. My lease right now would give us 6 months after the baby is born to move. Most likely we would go to a townhouse which means lot's of stairs. What in the world should I do? I am the same person who complained about my neighbors.

Move. Stairs with a C is not a problem; very temporary slight discomfort. Absolutely move ASAP.

If you need to sleep downstairs for a couple of weeks in a townhouse then thats what you do. I would move. Although, you could also sign a new lease right, and then move when the baby is a year old?

I moved two rowhouses down with a two month old. It was okay. It sounds like you are really struggling with your current situation, so I would move.

OP here. It would be exactly a week from my due date.

Why move twice? Just look for the place you want to be after your current lease would have run now and move once. There is no guarantee that the new apartment will offer any less noise.

Move. You will be fine temporarily, and better in the long run. So much less stress and better sleep with baby!

It would make sense to move because we would have 2 children. A townhouse would give us more space for the same price. It would also be closer to work. I could also see us being so overwhelmed with everything that we end up staying. I was a month early the first time and our son was in the NICU. We also had a home nurse for several weeks because my son had a lot of medical issues. It was an incredibly stressful time.

Move as soon as possible, before your due date, because of the neighbors. Personally I found I was so much fitter during pregnancy, even in my 3rd trimester, than recovering from birth, but perhaps others have a different experience.

Because it's expensive. I want to do this too but it's not the right time.

OP here. Unfortunately my husband is not going to support this right now. It's also tricker because it involves us finding tenet's for our current place. We wouldn't have a set date to move out until the new tenets sign a lease.

+1 I had a C-section with my 3rd kid and had 2 kids 3 and under. In fact, the 2nd kid wasn't even walking when the 3rd was born (all my kids were late walkers). Our condo was on the 3rd floor. I hated the C-section and slept like shit because of it but stairs weren't an issue. Oh, and the washer/dryer were in the basement.

Move!

OP here. But they tell you not to use stairs?

Sounds like you already have a kid since you mentioned vbac. Are you really this naive? Is everything exactly what they told you for your first kid? I personally could do everything after my c. I was up within 12 hours. But you seem to want to fight us on every little thing, so, figure it out on your own.

OP here. I am not trying to start a fight. I would be worried about getting hurt. There has to be a reason doctor's say no stair's. I was not up within 12 hours. I couldn't visit my son in the NICU until day 3.
