Wait a minute - you had the balls to tell another parent what they could and couldn’t listen to in their car?!? Holy sh!t this one takes the cake. You don’t like what they listen to, you leave the carpool. End of story. |
Yes I don’t want my kids to listen to religious propaganda. You sound unbelievably intolerant. Should I listen to podcasts about how religion is stupid? Would that have okay with you? |
You sound like the lazy Christians at my charter who don’t volunteer for anything but demand all weekend school activities to be held on Saturdays. |
Absolutely ok with me. You are 100% allowed to listen to whatever you want in your car. If I don’t like it, I look for another carpool option for my kid. But in this case, I wouldn’t pull my kid because I don’t mind her being exposed to other schools of thought. And please please explain how I am the one who is intolerant. |
+1 My kid comes home full of words we don't use in our household and stories of Pokemon shows we don't let him watch. It's called, exposing your children to other people. |
...that’s what I’m saying.... |
My kid got admonished for telling other kids that Santa isn't real (upper ES and everyone is old enough to know that already). |
Of course. If the child is saying hateful things, by all means, complain. But if the child is just telling some bible stories, you need to handle your own kid and own beliefs. |
It’s called FREEDOM FROM religion. You’re entitled not to hear the ravings of some religious nutcase. This is not hard to understand, but I’m unsurprised that you’re struggling with this concept. |
Talk about intolerance. Do you see the hypocrisy in your thinking? For someone that doesn't want to be subject to the beliefs of others you have no problem letting some of us know your sentiments and by inference how you feel about believers. |
DP. I don’t think freedom “from” religion is a thing...? And no you’re not “entitled” to not hear things. |
We have failed in teaching civics to our population. |
Is there FREEDOM FROM fortnight? Because my kid knows all the dances and info about that and many other games he’s never played in his life and it annoys me to no end. |
| "Son, there's a book of stories which some people believe are true. We don't believe in the same things and that's ok." |
IN SOMEONE ELSES PRIVATE CAR?? You have got to be kidding. |
