Yes, another Biblical interpretation. In particular, The Book of Revelation, which is the last chapter of the New Testament. In that Book, it is foretold how the events will fold out for the true Church and Christians, as wells as the world in whole. Those that don't read the Bible actively always wonder where do quotes and the knowledge come from. They come from the Bible. However, one of Stan's most potent weapons is to have less and less Christians reading the Bible. That creates the group that constitutes the false church. |
| I am comforted with rational thinking and expressions of such. |
Me too, especially knowing that this guy Stan will be wielding his weapon of less and less Bible-reading Christians. |
Where is the biblical reference to the Trinity? |
Just one of many: "May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." - 2 Corinthians 13:14 |
Here's another "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit." Matthew 28:19 |
|
No direct reference, then - no greek word "trinity" translated into Latin, then English |
The spirit of rebellion (against God's authority) is men's downfall all throughout the Bible. So, keep rebelling, keep nitpicking, keep questioning, keep doubting. Don't read the Bible and you will stay in delusion. |
Can't believe the other PP's bit on this and took time to cite a couple of the many references. PP here clearly doesn't care whether the concept of the Trinity is in the Bible and has the anti-intellectual idea that if the word isn't there, then neither is the idea. I'd bet a lot of money, though, that the PP gets very excited about "separation of church and state" in the Constitution, even though those words never appear. It's just mid-boggling that you can cite actual references to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and the response is what the PP has. |
+1 I find that so called atheists and doubters have very strong need to prove that their unbelief is rooted in purported power of their reason (Little do they know that God provided them with little reason they have). They are extremely engaged in proving their unbelief and trying to make the Bible conform to their human logic. True Atheists have absolutely no need to prove why they don't believe. They don't even doubt, they simply don't believe and don't question those that do believe. |
Ha, well they'd basically have to pare it down to agnosticism to do that. That's a ridiculous statement. |
First Question: What is the difference between an Atheist and a "so-called" Atheist? Second Question: On what do you base your assertion that "god provided them with little reason they have"? Third Question (a two-parter): Why do you get to decide what "true Atheists" do, and why is it good for them to not question what others believe but still ok for you to do the same? No hypocrisy there? |
But pp is correct, right? that there is no reference to the holy trinity in the Bible. Implied, but not stated. |
There must be something in the Bible that teaches how "True Atheists" think and react. Otherwise, Christians wouldn't know this. |
