https://dougcollins.house.gov/page Day 2, Lisa Page https://dougcollins.house.gov/sites/dougcollins.house.gov/files/Lisa%20Page%20interview%20Day%202.pdf One interesting nugget -- the Russia investigation was opened on July 31 2016. Lisa Page already expressed doubts about their confidential source (redacted) and their assumptions on August 13. There was a briefing with the White House on August 8. Brennan briefed Harry Reid on August 25. |
Thank you. There's some "gross negligence" discussion on page 34 and going forward. |
Page said straight up that the DOJ (under Loretta Lynch at the time) told them not to prosecute Clinton |
Loretta Lynch had the power to decide--the FBI did not. DOJ gets to decide who to prosecute. Lynch should have recused herself and she did not. And, for those blaming Comey, you can switch your blame to WJC. His meeting with Lynch on the tarmac resulted in Comey's little speech. Otherwise, Lynch would have decided not to prosecute and we would never have heard how egregious HRC's violations were. |
PP here--and, because of the meeting on the tarmac, Lynch kept saying she would take the FBI recommendation--and, Comey took the ball and ran. |
Comey should have recused as well given his brother's association with the Clintons. |
It wasn't his place. It should have fallen to the deputed AG. |
What is his brother’s association with the Clintons? |
Lynch didn't recuse herself. You are incorrect. |

Peter Strzok's interview is released. https://dougcollins.house.gov/sites/dougcollins.house.gov/files/06.27.18%20Interview%20Of%20Peter%20Strzok.pdf |
Remember, the DOJ indicated that HRC would not be prosecuted before the investigation was complete. |
There was nothing there. There was never anything there. |
The House investigation under the GOP yielded nothing.
The DOJ can investigate this at any time. And for the people upset about the tarmac meeting, I assume you are equally upset about the Whitaker-Trump interactions? |
