Interestingly it may be Lisa Page who pushed to open the investigation on Trump after Comey was fired. (Lisa Page: "And we need to open the case we have been waiting on while Andy is acting")

And Peter Strozk was still a section chief when they discussed the "insurance policy" in August of 2016. McCabe probably promoted Strozk because of his work on Russia/HRC investigation.

DoJ counter intel section chief insisted Cheryl Mills be included in HRC interview despite the opposition from the FBI.

Confirms everything we knew, if you have been paying attention. Now, to see the Steele deposition on Thursday. And, I think it is time - actually past time - to have Glenn Simpson testify again. Lots of questions have arisen since his last testimony including some discrepancies between his testimony and that of others.

Hmmm, things OP doesn't mention:

-Lisa Page told Congressional investigators that senior FBI officials disliked HRC and expressed it. She said she was told that two senior FBI officials, Sandy Kable and Randy Coleman, expressed political bias related to Hillary Clinton investigations. Told agents on the team that they had to get her.

- the House GOP has thoroughly beclowned themselves in exposing the fact that people in the FBI were concerned that the GOP presidential nominee was maybe a Russian asset based on Page's description of the "insurance policy"

- There were "Herculean efforts were taken to try to prove and — or disprove or corroborate in any way the statements contained in the Steele report." She can't go into details.

-Lisa Page says the FBI is an extraordinarily "conservative organization" and so "the notion that there's a deep state conspiracy about anything is laughable."

Here who Trump has begrimed and removed from the FBI thus far:

-Ohr: 30years at DOJ taking down Russian mafia

What about the whole thing kicked off with the fake dossier that they paid for and submitted to kick off the investigation to begin with? The so called- "insurance policy". Huber is going to love them all tenderly now that Mueller's nothing burger investigation has fizzled out.

A lot of people paid for the dossier. One of the few recent bipartisan efforts.

No. The dossier was funded by Clinton/DNC:

Ohr went further, saying he disclosed to FBI agents that his wife and Steele were working for the same firm and that it was conducting the Trump-Russia research project at the behest of Trump’s Democratic rival, the Clinton campaign.

“These guys were hired by somebody relating to, who’s related to the Clinton campaign and be aware,” Ohr told Congress, explaining what he warned the bureau.

Perkins Coie, the law firm that represented both the DNC and the Clinton campaign during the 2016 election, belatedly admitted it paid Fusion GPS for Steele’s work on behalf of the candidate and party and disguised the payments as legal bills when, in fact, it was opposition research.

When asked if he knew of any connection between the Steele dossier and the DNC, Ohr responded that he believed the project was really connected to the Clinton campaign.

“I didn’t know they were employed by the DNC but I certainly said yes that they were working for, you know, they were somehow working, associated with the Clinton campaign,” he answered.

“I also told the FBI that my wife worked for Fusion GPS or was a contractor for GPS, Fusion GPS.”
