And Peter Strozk was still a section chief when they discussed the "insurance policy" in August of 2016. McCabe probably promoted Strozk because of his work on Russia/HRC investigation.

DoJ counter intel section chief insisted Cheryl Mills be included in HRC interview despite the opposition from the FBI.

One interesting nugget -- the Russia investigation was opened on July 31 2016. Lisa Page already expressed doubts about their confidential source (redacted) and their assumptions on August 13. There was a briefing with the White House on August 8. Brennan briefed Harry Reid on August 25.[/quote]
