He now has added that she was a really good friend (he's also friends with her ex husband) and that she is "struggling", so he offered to send her money.

Most likely his son.

Ummm.... send her $$$ and not talk to you first. Go see a counselor with him and Kay it all out on the table. U r getting bits and pieces of a more complicated story. I'd be super calm. Wouldn't say a word to him until he's ready to lay it all out there. Stay super calm and do not cry. He's expecting you to get upset and emoitional. Don't do it.

What she texted doesn’t fit with a picture of his son.

Let's get real. If a man broke dishes and screamed at a woman demanding answers about her phone, we'd all be urging her to call the cops and leave him.

Why can a woman act this way toward a man?

Tineye.com works well and so does pipl.com

Guarantee he said something along the lines of "i've always considered you a good friend" or maybe "the one who got away" after she was done buttering him up for $$$ and she's dangling the possibility of more until the check clears

Yes. He could be that stupid. Or he might think his wife is that stupid.

Amen!

Step 1: Call her and tell her you have her money and meet her and the son.

Step 2: At the meet, when you hand over the $100, give the boy a head pat and prick a hair out, Robert DiNero/Focker style.

Step 3: Run a DNA test on the boy and your DH.

Then come back and report results to DCUM for Step 4.

I believe PP was being facetious.
