Yes, bc refusing to let her use his phone is suspicious.

A text calling my DH "my friend" is not necessarily suspicious ,IMHO.

Maybe he's reconnecting with a hs sweetheart. He told her she's the one who got away or something.

Yes, you drag it to the search bar. I guess you don’t watch Catfish!

Ask him about it in a non-accusatory tone. Just say that you needed to use his phone because yours was dead and saw it. It is a strange text and could be perfectly innocent....or not. If he immediately jumps on you for looking at a text then there is something going on.

No an unsaved number sent a photo of a young boy via text to my DH.

I did just ask him who the boy is and he said that he is the son of his friend from high school. I said "But the person texting is a woman?" And he said yes. I then asked why she said that it is nice that he thought a certain way about her and he just had a blank look on his face, so I walked out if the room.

*facepalm*

I gave him the phone back.

Rookie move #2.

The fact that he went all blank on you when you inquired as to what this woman said to him speaks volumes.

And XO??!

I think he is acting inappropriate & owes you much more than a blank stare.

Tonight he spends his New Year’s Eve sleeping in the doghouse.

Woof.

He now has added that she was a really good friend (he's also friends with her ex husband) and that she is "struggling", so he offered to send her money.
