for real. And who cares?! she isn't a model, her job has zip to do with her looks. But FWIW, remember how J Lo was the size of a house carrying twins in her 40s....and her mod section looks insane since then? yeah, it's her job, and her doc was amazing

I am a mom and a partner at a DC law firm and feel like I look like I was run over by a truck most days and am barely hanging on. How on earth does she have time to do her actual work, give speeches, travel as much as she does between NY and London much less all the other countries she visits for work and pleasure, go to countless fancy evening events, shop for all of her glam outfits much less have time to always have her hair done, put on a full face of make up, etc. I cannot imagine how she makes this all work and yet she does it. Brava, Amal!

As far as I can tell she is not a lawyer trying to make partner hours (60-80 hours of client time and billables a week) instead she chooses very selectively which cases she works on to argue before The Hague. Her chambers is a collective group, more like a co-op than a firm. She’s smart and her clientele list is top-notch but then again she spent 20 years building her reputation when regular women sidetrack themselves with children.

I didn’t have my kids until I had 15 years of practicing law under my belt. I still couldn’t “selectively choose” which cases to handle and expect to be handling as high stakes work as she does. She is doing something(s) very right!

I was just thinking that even with plastic surgery, wouldn't there be some scarring?

I agree with you. I think she’s impressive and has great hair but I don’t find her face attractive at all. I’d call her downright homely. Different tastes for different people. She isn’t mine at all-and I know she doesn’t care. But I’m not a jerk just because I don’t find her beautiful.

JLo's torso is like Tina Turner's legs--aging in reverse.

Yes, although you probably don't have parents who are prominent political journalists.

Um, she has 24/7 nanny, chef, fashion person, personal trainer, personal assistant s, PR person, etc And who knows what George does all day.

Shes not like the rest of us. Remember, celebrities are on a different playing field. You cant compare.

+1 I’m glad she has such a huge team because I think her work is so important. But she isn’t like PP trying to balance everything. She has people that provide the balance for everything outside of her job. Actually she probably also has an amazing staff at work.

And don’t underestimate how much better we’d all look with millions just to spend on plastic surgeons, make up artists, hair extensions, etc. She’s got the money - good on her for spending it on herself.

People have different tastes in beauty but you may want to consider that you have a Western dominated idea of beauty. A lot of the things mentioned in this thread (strong features, larger nose) are just part of being from a different race/ethnicity than the typical cover model.

She is like a super hero that works all night saving lives and is a "normal" during the day,

It wears on the best of us.

I agree. No way those stick arms can carry twin toddlers.

These are the first photos I've ever seen of the kids. The boy is not cute but the girl is.

I had twins at 39. Back to my pre pregnacy weight 6 weeks later and flat abs 3 months after. Genetics and taking care of my body. The only surgery I had was the c section. We don't all get flabby and overweight after babies.

Who cares - she does have it all. Well-known lawyer, handsome husband, adorable twins, and rich as heck.

+1

And not one damn thing the haters can do about it. At all. Ever.
