I am jealous as h-ll of her! I truly do not know how she does all she does. I am a mom and a partner at a DC law firm and feel like I look like I was run over by a truck most days and am barely hanging on. How on earth does she have time to do her actual work, give speeches, travel as much as she does between NY and London much less all the other countries she visits for work and pleasure, go to countless fancy evening events, shop for all of her glam outfits much less have time to always have her hair done, put on a full face of make up, etc. I cannot imagine how she makes this all work and yet she does it. Brava, Amal!

As far as I can tell she is not a lawyer trying to make partner hours (60-80 hours of client time and billables a week) instead she chooses very selectively which cases she works on to argue before The Hague. Her chambers is a collective group, more like a co-op than a firm. She’s smart and her clientele list is top-notch but then again she spent 20 years building her reputation when regular women sidetrack themselves with children.

NP, perhaps this thread really had a malicious intent, but I don't think it is mean-spirited to say she looks like a "toddler Mom" in that pic. A stunning and slim toddler mom. But an exhausted one nevertheless! We've all been there (and not half so beautifully-coiffed at the time I suspect!)

My kids are older and great sleepers and my eye bags are at least that bad. But my hair isn’t nearly as thick and shiny and I’m not as slim or as well dressed. She is beautiful!

A friend of mine worked with her and I definitely believe she has just an hour most days with the kids. Her job is no joke.

I agree with you. I think she’s impressive and has great hair but I don’t find her face attractive at all. I’d call her downright homely. Different tastes for different people. She isn’t mine at all-and I know she doesn’t care. But I’m not a jerk just because I don’t find her beautiful.
