Four years ago, one of kids received a science and tech entrence letter at the end of the January. Two years ago, my next kid received a science and tech entrence letter in mid-February.
Last year, I heard letters were mailed the lasts of February/first days of March. |

Has anyone heard from Roosevelt Science and Tech yet?
My kid says all the kids at school have heard from Catholic schools and other private schools, and from Academy of Health Sciences, and from Flowers if that was their zoned school. And they are pressuring the kids to let Parkdale IB program know if they want to accept the continuity placement there. But no one has as yet heard from Roosevelt. |
| No, I don't think anyone has heard about Roosevelt science and tech yet. This is how it's been playing out for the last few years. Hang in there, we'll receive letters any day now, maybe tomorrow, maybe a week from tomorrow. I would be surprised if letters don't arrive by March 5. That would be even later than last year. |
| Letters are out. |
I wish I could be relaxed about it -- we have very ireegular mail delivery (last week I got letters misdelivered to my mailbox from two separate towns, no similarity to my own address) and we've had letters that simply never arrive! And we need to make some decisions soon. |
That's awful! Maybe wait until Monday, then call. |
|
Anyone know when notification will happen this year? What score range total might grant admission?
|
I can't recall the exact date, but last year, we didn't get the notification until mid-March. |
| Ooh. Later than I had hoped. Thank you. |

Our middle school announced that the letters would go out mid-March.
Some schools missed the PSAT in December because they were shut down due to Covid (I think Tasker and Kettering) and PGCPS was closed when the make up was scheduled in January. Not sure if that is impacting the time line or if it is just PGCPS dragging their feet. |
No problem. It does make it hard to plan. We ended up putting a deposit at a private school, then withdrew once ERHS offered a spot. |
| That's the situation we may be in as well. Are you/your student pleased with the choice to do SciTech versus private school? Assuming cost helped make that choice. Any other reasons tip you toward ERHS? |
Yes, DC is very happy there. I knew that he would do well at either school and he was genuinely open to either. Cost definitely mattered, so ERHS got the nod.

| Any updates? |
