I listened to this armchair ep. It was Dax drawing the parallels, Keith graciously not disagreeing. But yes it was Dax talking about playing guitar and his career to a multi-grammy winning artist releasing his 12th album and also comparing their successful wives -- Kristen Bell and Nicole Kidman. Not the same but Ok, Dax. |
I know absolutely nothing about her, but she's literally in a photo op. She's supposed to be smiling. |
And, according to his timeline, Dax was high while making the comparisons and "shared experiences". |
I think she’ll eventually end up leaving him(maybe not for this, but something else)It sounds like there have already been some warning signs. They don’t have a prenup either |
They bicker to keep their podcast interesting.
They purposely create drama, embellish, etc to generate interest, keep listeners coming back, and the list goes on. It's just like any other scripted reality show. Why are you surprised? |
She's using them. Again, she was literally the nanny and now she's co-host of his podcast and trying to use their friendships with other actors and directors to get parts. |
He’ll never be sober and she’ll eventually get tired of having to take care if him. Like Jen Garner. |
Why is she in the middle? Google image search her name, it's a pattern. She forces herself in the middle of pictures and has to steal the attention of photos she's in. She's not the or a star, she's more like the help. Obvious shyster conniver. |
Wow PP you have an unhealthy anger towards someone you don’t know. Have you even listened to the podcast? Dax and Monica are very close friends. |

The Hollywood life and the narcissism is brutal on relationships and his motorcycle passion and injuries feeds his addictions. But that aside, his Armchair expert interviews reveal that he is highly intelligent and very well read. His interviews with people like Malcolm Gladwell, Bill Gates and Tom Brady highlight his breath and depth of interview skills and knowledge. His side kick Monica is a lightweight and adds little and what she does add it’s pretty vacuous. I have no idea if he is a decent actor as I’ve never seen him in anything but his podcasts are well worth listening to. He is very open about his personal demons and that opens up interesting discussions with his guests. |
makes me sad for them I married an alcoholic. He is almost 7 years sober now. He's an incredible person and father. I of course do worry about him relapsing. Lots of people with addiction issues out there. |
Just from listening to his podcast on and off for a couple years, it seems like he has a very weak sense of self. When someone comes on that will talk about partying hard, he loves to go there and has to talk about how "bad" he was before sobriety. It's clear he still feels like that "bad" boy was the cool one. I imagine, on top of the physiological aspects of addition, this is one of the main things holding him back. (And when he has guests that clearly don't give a shit if he drank his face off or never drank, he gets a little lost.) |
Every addict is different. Your husband (hopefully) may never relapse. But people like Ben and Dax are never truly sober. Both seem to me to have some sort of mental health issues that they self medicate. |
How about don't ride a motorcycle and then take 30 painkillers a day?
Take a car and stop shoving drugs in your hole. |
