At one point Monica had counted the meds (Kristen was sick and quarantining), and there were less than there was supposed to be. Monica is a Type A worrier and Kristen is an free spirited optimist. It makes sense to me that the type A who works with him and watches him interview guest for hours would notice before the free spirit wife who’s also busy with homeschooling 2 kids. |
I loved that series. It was so good. |
So, to clarity, pps have said he told Kristen first, he told Monica first and he told them together. None of us know what happened. And you can’t even believe what Shepard says. Because addicts lie. |
I’m basing this off his podcast where he and Monica talked about what happened. You guys are just all spewing hate and venom. |
Doesn't change the "facts" that we do not know. Addicts lie. |
I mean, of course he was lying. He was in the middle of a relapse. That's the whole thing. Personally I don't listen to this Hollywood B-lister's (sorry but true) podcast because I believe he has taken an oath of honesty. That might be an issue for his wife. I listen because it's entertaining and he gets good guests and has (more or less)_good interviews. |
Monica must be in this thread asking for posts to be removed. |
I'm Indian. You sound unhinged defending a Z list podcaster. I missed it where Dax "left" his wife for this woman or do you have intel they're having an affair? Being some D list drug addict's side piece is hardly boast-worthy. |
Um... we don't know. They're projecting whatever they want us to see in order to generate publicity for their respective work. |
Yeah you’re not Indian..and work on your reading comprehension. You’re completely confused on who PP was talking about. |
I’m partway through the confessional podcast, and my big question is WHY does he keep getting prescribed opiates for pain without very close supervision by a doctor and/or addiction mental health specialist? Sounds like a recipe for disaster. We already know opiates are highly addictive; so addicts need to be even more cautious. My one acquaintance who is sober avoided opiates at all costs (even dealt with a serious hand injury without them.) Current thinking is that most pain can be handled with ibuprofen and minimal
opiates. |
I thought this. How is it that I get pain meds after major surgery dispensed at minimal doses? (Once I was prescribed 1 tablet). And ridiculous how hard I have to work to get Adderall or alternatives regularly for DS. But celebrities (and drug addicts) always seem to have plenty. |
Ugh, have friends and colleagues in Utah and they seems to rain down opiates for any little thing there. I think that some areas are much worse with over prescribing than others. These colleagues are dealing with young adult addicts in the family now based on having too many "party pills" in the house at any given time because they had a tooth pulled or some such craziness |
Not just Utah. I had two uneventful births at Sibley, both easy labors with minimal to no tearing. They offered me a Oxycodone prescription each time when I didn't even need Tylenol after the first day or so. |
This is one of those podcasts I’ll only listen to if the guest is interesting to me because I find the hosts to be generally annoying. Monica just grates—she adds nothing to the conversations and her voice isn’t what I need to hear at bedtime, which is when I usually listen to podcasts.
I can listen to Conan and Sona Movsisian (sp?) all day long. They have a good working relationship. |
