Let me Google that for you: https://www.tasteofhome.com/collection/top-10-cheese-balls/view-all/

That looks vile. I just puked in my mouth.

Your attitude is vile. Glad you won't be at my house! We're kind, warm, fun and have a sense of humor.

Well, to each his own. This is something my beloved grandma made every year, and we miss her dearly. On to the table it goes. Happy Thanksgiving!

Yeah, we're kind, warm, fun and have a sense of humor too, but I don't think anyone in my family (including the dog) would eat one of those. It looks like something people who put french fried onions in their green bean casserole would make to appear "fancy."

NP. Isn't that special? I guarantee you (or your family) has at least one dish that you love that would make me gag.

I hope the cranberry sauce is in the shape of the can it came in (seriously- loved that stuff as a kid).
Remember to save the wish bone for the kids to snap...
I LOVE rutabaga. Are your IL's Scandinavian?

(at the risk of outing myself, I created a spreadsheet that tells me when to do each step of Thanksgiving dinner. So if we decide to eat at a different time, it auto-calculates backwards everything else. Oh, and they are all on my Google drive, so I can see what I've done in years past, do a save-as and change the year, etc.)

I do the google spreadsheet too! For all of my parties. Makes planning so much easier.

Fellow organizer, I am with you. I have a three-tab spreadsheet that tracks back pre-thanksgiving prep to last weekend.

I would not do the potatoes the night before, though. Sometimes they get weirdly sweet if you refrigerate them.

OP here. I just peel and cut them the night before, and store them in ice water. Works perfectly. If it's good enough for Ina Garten, it's good enough for me.

OP here. Nope, they are from NJ...some French, some Italian in their background, but mostly 'Merican!

I love cheese balls! The PP who is so judgmental and nasty about it is really weird.

OP. I have a pretty significant health issue that I'm battling right now, so hosting is both a big joy that I'm looking forward to, and a bit of a stressor for me. Planning and preparing helps me maximize the joy and excitement, and minimize the stress and worry.

Happy Thanksgiving!
