It's a once in a lifetime experience for your child. Go. Despite my strong dislike for Trump, I would not pass up this opportunity for my kids. |
| If you think attending the Easter Egg Roll means you endorse the President, instead of participating in a time-honored DC tradition, then don't go. |
| Go OP. I hate Trump but he won't be there. I took my kid several times when she was little. We still have those cute wooden eggs they hand out as souvenirs. Have fun. No worries. Kids don't vote. The WH belongs to the people not to Trumpsters. |
+1. So much toxicity and sinister characters in this White House. Any other President I would have been fine to take my kids. But not this one. |
+1 |
| It's hardly a once in a lifetime experience that your child will not likely remember. Get a grip. |
I've heard it's an effing zoo regardless of who's in power. |
Really? We have gone a few times in the past. Kind of boring and crowded. |
| It's for kids/not adults. Too many grumpy people here. |
| I read an article from DOGO news (news site for kids) to my kid every night. Last night there was an article on Easter events around the world. The White House Easter egg hunt was listed and there was a video clip from last year’s event. Not a single person of color in the 2 minute clip. |

Organize an Easter Egg Roll in your own backyard and neighborhood. You will have better outcome for yourself and for your child.
|
| Nope. Standards. |
| This is a non partisan event, not an endorsement of the administration. Take your kids if they want to go. |
Exactly! I think Trump is the worst president in US History, but there is no way he'll be there. So,no worries. |
This is OP. This is kind of how I feel. And almost more than that I don't feel like Trump should be able to ruin traditions like this. The easter egg roll happened before, will happen now and will happen when he's impeached. I don't want to feel compromised but I also feel like not going to something like this is the kind of dig-your-heels-in move that is causing none of us to be able to talk to each other anymore. |
