The statistics are for crimes that are actually acknowledged. There are many more crimes committed that the police don't pursue or arrest. We are leaving DC because our once nice neighborhood is filled with petty BS that the cops shrug and say "hey, life in the big city."

Recently they decriminalized metro fare evasion and some guy evaded fare and threw a bike on the track, damaging a train and caused hours of single tracking

There's no doubt a PC/race aspect, in fact a strong one. Democrats have been becoming very pro criminal, and they will do anything to lower instances of criminal acts committed by minorities. For example, if you look at the marijuana legalization done in DC, it was done in several steps. The only reason they decriminalized it wasn't because they were pro pot, it was because they were saying too many blacks were being arrested for pot offenses. When it was decrimalized, they decided to set the fine for it based upon what they felt blacks could afford. Then after that they legalized it, though you can only legally do it at home, and you can't buy it. I can smell people smoking pot all over columbia heights, and even downtown by metro center on occasion. very brazenly being done, because they know if there were arrests for it public, they'd say there's a racial disparity, and then they'd just make smoking pot in public legal so blacks don't bear the brunt of the arrests.

There's also the very real disparity: if you can afford to hire an attorney, you can escape any consequences for smoking marijuana. This is true pretty much EVERYWHERE in the United States. I see the legalization of pot as being helpful to POOR people, regardless of color. Rich folks have been beating drug charges for decades.

This woman was a cleaning service employee and stole three rings including engagement ring from the client's house (white) and was given just a small fine as punishment that made her $5 richer. Because she is illegally in the country, pregnant and Mexican - all excuses lined up just right.
If she was white and a US citizen she would never vote - for example - for gun ownership rights again. That is today's liberal justice.
