Sex when kids are in the house

They were mad at YOU?? Crazy adults. Our kid told us she heard us. Eww. I was grossed out for her. But didn't tell her that. Just more careful now.

I'm loud, so either I have to muffle myself while in bed or we find somewhere else in the house. So we often do it on the couch in the basement well out of ear shot of the kids. we have the courtesy of washing the blankets we've used before they kids use it.

Though, there was one time DH took me on the kitchen counter and the dining table, and we didn't clean up as thoroughly as we should have afterwards.....

I'm afraid to ask how you discovered that you didn't do a complete cleanup job.

you could still the streaks on the kitchen island and table in the morning. thankfully it was a weekend so we were able to clean it all up before making a late breakfast with the family. thankfully the kids (2 teens one pre-teen) are just oblivious and would have never noticed.

but it's my naughty secret with DH and anytime he sees something on the counters or table, he gives me this incredibly devilish look that just turns me on instantly.

When I was 11 my parents were making so much noise it thought something was wrong and walked in on them. I can never unsee my mom’s backside bouncing up and down on my dad.

It's not a struggle. Some people just like to have 1 more excuse to avoid sex.

When our kids were teenagers their bedrooms were a pretty decent distance from ours and they had a separate flight of stairs up to their rooms which really helped. We were pretty good at keeping the noise level down while still enjoying ourselves even when we knew they were still up. I'm sure they knew we had a sex life but they never said anything about it. Now we are empty nesters so we never close the door or worry about the noise.

Only once have we ever been caught. One night my five year old opened our door around 11 or so and saw me holding onto the headboard with my DH well down under the sheets. DD asked "where's daddy" and I said something stupid like he's looking for his glasses. I told her to go back to bed which she did and after we muffled our laughter we got back to business.

When I was a teenager, I was visiting a friend who had moved out of state. Her parents played loud African tribal music which I believe was intended to drown out the noise while doing the deed in the room next door. This made things much worse. Don't do this.

We have sex before they wake up in the morning, or when they are two floors below us.

Teenagers tend to stay up late, so the "wait until they are asleep" trick may not work.

I'd just lock the door and play some music. It helps if your room is away from their bedrooms, which is usually is.

We do it in the living room day and night, no matter who is around.
