Is 101 pounds too skinny for 5'3 woman?

Don't worry - as you get older and your hormones start fading this won't be an issue anymore. Make sure you're eating a healthy diet with good fats (avocado, nuts, olive oil ) and natural calcium for your bones and enjoy your thinness.
I used to be 5'8" and 120 lbs!

It depends on the age too... okay if you're 21 but maybe not at 41.

I am 32

No if you're a small frame person. And if you're not doing anything unhealthy to be that weight. Some people are just thin.

Depends on your build but that seems pretty light for a 5'3" woman.

I still think it’s fine. I’m 50. 5’5 and 115 pounds. I’m not particularly thin. Just healthy and active. People seem seem to think it’s inevitable that we gain weight as we age. I just don’t think that’s true. Too often it’s used as an excuse. As we age, we need to add weight bearing exercise to protect our bone health. We might need to be more careful with what we eat because our metabolism changes. But there is no reason to get fat.

It's impossible to tell without seeing the person. Two women can be the exact same height but one may look (& actually be) perfectly healthy at a weight at which the other looks emaciated. A lot depends on bone structure, muscle mass, & even head size.

Good for you, I'm 50 and 5'5" also and I know that I would look very sick at 115 pounds. In fact, when I was in college and allowed my weight to drop that low my friends were telling me that I was too skinny. What is good for you is not healthy for me.

That was my eating disorder weight. 1000-1200 calories, 2-3 hrs exercise, looked gaunt, no.periods, light fuzz. But I have a large frame, on others it might be ok. I looked best at about 114, still a size 0 but healthier.

+1. Normally I roll my eyes at the posts claiming they are 5'3 and 130 pounds and thin. No, you aren't thin.

Someone who is 5'3 and 101 is most definitely thin. I have a very small bone structure and I'd look VERY thin at that weight. I'm around 110 now and pretty thin. I'm 5'4 though and not 5'3. If I got down to 105-106 I'd probably be fine but 101 would really be pushing it.

I think it may depend on age.

I'm 5ft. 1in and weigh 100 lbs. I'm fit and I eat plenty. You would not look at me and say I'm too skinny.

I'm 5'3" and 105 pounds-I personally think i look better at around 115 with some meat on my face and a bit fuller all around. Never restrict calories and only recently got back into working out but now that I'm older can't seem to put on weight.

That's because you're 5'1! Now if you were 90 pounds would you be too thin? Or if you were 110? There's a difference in two inches

I'm almost 5'7" and 126. I am fat. I look best around 115-118. Everyone is different. I don't think it's too small OP b
