What flavor was your wedding cake?

Not a huge wedding cake gal myself. We did strawberry shortcake!

I think ours was orange flavored with raspberry filling, I think? Or maybe no filling and just a light buttercream? It was something citrusy.

Cheesecake! The main display was three white chocolate cheesecakes, set on tiered stands, decorated with fresh flowers that matched my bouquet. Then there were about 2-3 other flavors of cheesecake. It was awesome. And I'm not even a millennial.

Vanilla/almond cake with raspberries/vanilla filling. We also had pies...key lime, chocolate chess and apple PLUS little ice cream cones that were passed around and the favor was chocolate truffles. I like desserts.

A tower of cream puffs (filled with crème pâtissière, no whipped cream nonsense).

Hello Cupcake did tiered party cakes and we got our cake from them. We had 3 tiers and all were different, I think we had carrot, vanilla with raspberry filling, and maybe chocolate with something? Vanilla buttercream on the entire outside. It was tasty and reasonably priced.

Try the southern caramel cake at Danielle's in the Galleria, Tysons Corner. To die for and is probably similar to what you remember.

I'm Russian and DH is Arab so we had combination plates of a Russian honeycake and baklava. Everyone loved it. I hired a patisseur I knew to make the cake using my recipe.
